Privacy Policy

WorkPlay Timer ("the App") is developed and operated by Serhan Gürakan, an individual developer based in Turkey. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data required to operate the App:

• Account information: Your email address, used for authentication (Firebase Authentication).
• Timer and usage data: Work, play, and idle session durations; daily aggregates; quest and penalty records. This data is stored in your personal account in Firebase Realtime Database and is not shared with third parties.
• Subscription status: Whether you have an active premium subscription, managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat may collect anonymized purchase identifiers as described in their own privacy policy.
• Device information: A randomly generated device identifier used to attribute timer sessions to a specific device. This identifier is not linked to your identity and is stored only in your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and secure your account.
• To sync your timer data across your devices.
• To determine your subscription status and unlock premium features.
• To send local push notifications (e.g., daily reset reminders). Notification scheduling happens on-device; no notification content is sent to our servers.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Firebase Realtime Database), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Firebase applies industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We apply Firebase Security Rules that restrict each user's data to their authenticated account only — no other user can read or write your data.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase – Authentication and database. Firebase Privacy
• RevenueCat – Subscription and in-app purchase management. RevenueCat Privacy

We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics platforms, or tracking libraries.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your account data (email address, timer history, quests, penalties, and settings) is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through the App, all your data — including your Firebase account and all associated Realtime Database records — is permanently and immediately deleted. This action cannot be undone.

To delete your account, go to Settings → Delete Account within the App.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable law (including GDPR, KVKK, or CCPA) to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. Account deletion (which removes all your data immediately) can also be performed directly in the App.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
